Posted by admin on Monday, April 29 @ 17:43:11 MST (95 reads)

Fort Atkinson Community Theatre will present "The Brother's Grimm Spectaculathon", a Reader's Theatre production, on Saturday, May 4, at 7:00pm at Cafe Carpe in Fort Atkinson. There is a suggested donation of $10 at the door. Seating is extremely limited, so please call Cafe Carpe at 920-563-9391 to reserve your seat. The FACT Reader's Theatre troupe will attempt to recreate all 209 of the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm in a wild, fast-paced extravaganza. To make it more difficult, they will combine them into one gigantic fable using Rapunzel, Rumpelstiltskin, Hansel and Gretel, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and other more obscure stories like Lean Lisa and The Devil's Grandmother. Join us for an evening of wild, free-form comedy with lots of audience participation and fun!

"Closer Than Ever," will be presented by FACT on May 5th and 6th at 7:00pm. Performances will be held at the Fort Atkinson High School Auditorium.

A loo into the private song vault of Richard Maltby, JR. and David Shire, the musical review "Closer Than Ever" is filled to the brim with the brilliance for which these musical theatre giants are known.

"Closer Than Ever," is a nonstop exploration of everyday struggles in the 'modern world.' Topics Ranging from unrequited adoration....to aging.....to muzak are tackled with resounding sincerity and precisely placed hilarity. Each song is a unique story told by a new character taking audiences not only into the songbook of Mr. Maltby and Mr. Shire, but into the minds of the individuals facing these completely relatable challenges.
