In celebration of the 80th anniversary of Rodgers and Hammerstein on Broadway, FACT is proud to announce its summer musical, A Grand Night for Singing. This musical revue explores the broad spectrum of romantic relationships by way of more than thirty songs, both classics and lesser-known discoveries. Selections are from the following shows: Oklahoma!, Carousel, State Fair, Allegro, South Pacific, The King and I, Me and Juliet, Pipe Dream, Cinderella, Flower Drum Song, and The Sound of Music. The show was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Musical in 1994.

The original cast had five singers. The FACT production will expand the cast to offer musical community theater experiences to more people. Due to the format of the show, there will be less of a time commitment as compared to the traditional summer musical. Rehearsals are scheduled for two nights a week from May 14 - July 10. Not all cast members will have to attend all rehearsals. A final rehearsal schedule will be developed once songs are assigned.
